Blog: Next New


In our society today there are always advancements and improvements. We constantly strive to hit new forms of media that will make our lives easier. Therefore, with the ideology of new media making things easier and less stressful I believe there could be a better way to travel. In other words, traveling to a different country could be very stressful, especially when you don’t know the language. This could be very intimidating but what if there was a new media that worked primarily to fix this issue. It would allow people to connect with others from the area they would like to visit. With this people would be able to foster a unique relationship that would make their traveling experience easier.
         In addition, when traveling to a new country it’s difficult to actually immerse yourself into that culture and actually get a feel for it. This is due to the confusion and uncertainty that comes from exploring new areas. People usually go for the big tourist attractions like the Trevi Fountain or the Eiffel Tower. While these places are nice and should be visited, they are all made for tourists and aren't authentic. They are in some ways made to make tourists comfortable, with foods they recognize and being surrounded with others who are there for the same reason.
         This is where this site comes into play. People who actually live in that environment could show you how it actually is. Try actual foods made in non tourist towns and get a feel for how people live their day to day lives. You could actually immerse yourself in the culture and actually feel like you’re trying new things. This site would eliminate some stress and uncertainty that comes with traveling to a new country and make it more enjoyable.

    Hi Leo,

    This will actually be cool. When travelling most people just go see the main attraction. lets take NYC for example, most people want to stay in Manhattan but ignoring what Bronx, Brooklyn or Queens can offer. With this application, visitors will be able to see the full picture of a city and not just what they are meant to see. good idea.

    Hi Leo, I really like this cite idea, but how will this work? is it tourist who will be taking the people around? Or is more like local volunteers who will do this for a commission. Overall I love this idea, it will allow people to learn about other people and their life style.

This allows for a more efficient and advanced way of sharing information, that benefits most. P2P file sharing is a type of file sharing that allows users to access media files like books or games.
