Analysis of New Technology in Cars: Are Our Cars Spying on Us?


I chose to do my project on the analysis of new technology in cars: are they spying on us? Now a days, cars are not as simple as they use to be. There is a tremendous amount of competition amongst car companies, wanting to be the first to do something revolutionary. This ideology caused the birth of the new technologies we have in our cars today. However, when we see touch screen infotainment systems such as Uconnect, or link our phones with Bluetooth, we don’t normally think of the negatives, just the positives. I believe that understanding technology such as this is very important due to its daily use. I intend to cover how our cars might be spying on us and what some companies actually do with the information they collect. I would like to possibly mention some of the benefits in the new media being implemented to cars, in addition, to its negatives such as maintenance. All this new technology helps better our daily lives by making things easier; however, there are some things we should be aware of when dealing with it. I plan to explore how much privacy we actually have in our vehicles in addition to the pros and cons of the tech in great detail.

New Media fosters and promotes creativity in many ways. Many companies such as Apple have come up with new ways for people to express themselves. The integration of Memojis and Emojis is one example of how new media promotes creativity. The amount of flexibility one has to do whatever they want with them definitely plays a big role in it too. This allows for a more efficient and advanced way of sharing information, that benefits most. P2P file sharing is a type of file sharing that allows users to access media files like books or games.
